What's an Optimist?

In our community, Optimists abound, and it’s not just because people in Miami Springs have a lot to be happy about.
 
Chances are, you already know an Optimist or two.
 
Maybe we’ve sold you a Christmas tree, or coached your child in a youth sports league. 

It could be that an Optimist has served you a hot dog after the 4th of July parade, or handed you a prize at the Annual Dolphin Classic and Community Fish Fry. 

Maybe you’ve just driven past that interesting building located right smack in the middle of Hammond Drive and thought, 

“Only an incurable Optimist would dream
of putting a house there.”

Exactly.

If you believe that the best investment a community can make is in its young people; 

if you know that the sweetest sound is that of a child’s laughter; 

if you understand that any party can be improved by the addition of music and a bounce-house; 

if you subscribe to the notion that no person can claim to be a friend of mankind without first being a friend of youth --

Then congratulations. 

You already think like an Optimist.
